The Subcommittee on Government Efficiency, Financial Management, and Intergovernmental Relations of the House Committee on Government Reform conducted an investigation to determine the capability of the federal government to manage it's financial endeavors. The subcommittee examined federal financial management reports and conducted hearings to progress the investigation. The subcommittee found that the federal government, and particularly the Department of Defense, do not have the capability to adequately manage its financial endeavors.
